Toy Fire Truck © Kristye Addison Dudley 10" x 8" Watercolor on Paper Purchase Prints I am working on a unique portrait. A portrait of a 2 year old little girl and 5 year old little boy siblings' favorite toys. This is their mother's way to preserve this very sweet time in their lives. As I prepared for this work, it was very easy to find inspiration since my living room is usually sprinkled with the playthings of my 2 year old boy and 4 year old little girl.  I'll post more on the commission as it progresses. As a former gymnast, collegiate cheerleader and professional cheerleader it's no surprise that dancers are a favorite subject matter of mine. I have always enjoyed painting the dynamic expression of the body. Figure painting is something that I am continually drawn to. Now that I am at the half way point of 30 paintings in 30 days challenge , I am going to focus on more figures. The new palette of colors that I am using is proving a bright change of perspective to the stylized figures.
